Kidspiration (Elementary Schools) - Pre-K through Grade 5

Kidspiration 3.0 is the newest version of Kidspiration. All elementary teachers in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be using this program as their graphic organizer program for their students.

Kidspiration Class Syllabus

• Overview of new Kidspiration 3 with video.
• Work through a Picture View template. (Using the Senses)
• Work through a Writing View template. (Friendly Letter)
• Work through a Math View template. (Subtraction with Regrouping)
• Creating a template for center use.
  • Pick your standards and focus.
  • Choose a View to begin your activity.
  • Add text boxes for directions
  • Add symbols, linking arrows, hyperlinks, and pages(in Math only) as needed to build interactivity. Create or use SuperGroupers as needed.
  • Use Teacher Menu to change symbols into a teacher symbol and/or locked symbol.
  • Use Teacher Menu to create a reusable template through the Activity Wizard.
• Creating a student product for math showing steps.
  • Click on Math View.
  • Check box by "Use Steps."
  • Choose math manipulatives to use in solving problem and click.
  • Use text boxes, manipulatives, and formatting tools.
  • Click "Add Step" button from top right corner. "Add Step" button looks like a white rectangle with a yellow plus sign.
  • Add and change that step as needed.
  • Repeat last 2 items till problem is solved.
  • Have Student save their work as their name and what kind of problem is was. (Ex. "Save as... Bob Adding 2 Numbers")
